How to reach Spetses and how to get around the island
Spetses is connected to Piraeus by regular daily high-speed ferry services. Private cars are not freely permitted on the island; movement is by taxi, traditional horse carriage, bicycle, or on foot.

Direct transport to remote beaches and between the island's main destinations.

Bicycle
Many bike rental shops on the island. The 25-km perimeter road circles the entire island.
Useful information
- • Travel time from Piraeus: ~2 hours by high-speed vessel.
- • Arrival point: Ntapia (the main port of Spetses).
- • Booking tickets in advance is recommended, especially during the high tourist season (June–September).
- • By road via Kosta: ~2.5 hours by car. From there you can cross to Spetses by water taxi, scheduled boat, or the “Katerina Star” ferry boat.
