The vast majority of applications to public services in Greece are now processed through the unified digital portal gov.gr. For citizens who need support or prefer in-person service, the Citizen Service Centre (KEP) Spetses is available.

Common citizen applications

Birth certificate
Issued electronically by the relevant civil registry through the family-status certificates service.

Issued by the citizen-registration municipality with digital signature and a QR verification code.

Issued by the municipality of permanent residence upon application and submission of supporting documents.

Submitted to the civil registry of the place of celebration. Requires a newspaper publication and an 8-day waiting period.
