The Spetsiotiko Carnival
Every year, Carnival season in Spetses is a celebration for the whole family — young and old alike. The island transforms into one big party full of colors, music, and island tradition.
Residents and visitors dress up in flamboyant costumes, the streets fill with dance and song, and every corner of Dapia comes alive with treats offered by the island's merchants.

The Parade and the Burning of King Carnival
On the last Sunday of Carnival, a grand parade takes place along the waterfront and through the center of Dapia. It is followed by an island feast with mezedes and wine offered by the local merchants.
The day closes spectacularly with the burning of King Carnival on Agios Mammas beach — a moving moment that marks the end of Carnival season and the beginning of Lent.
Clean Monday — Kite-Flying Contest
On Clean Monday, the celebration continues at Poseidonio Square with the beloved contest for the best handmade kite.
Give it your best — feasting, fun, and joy for everyone! A beautiful tradition that brings together residents and visitors in a springtime celebration of renewal.
